leap second settings

Hi,

How do we set the leap second?
The default leap second is 18 seconds and how can we add or delete leap second from the default?

can anyone please help us on setting this.

Time comes exact from the GPS satellites. Other than a time zone offset in the machine, any leap seconds or otherwise is managed by the GPS sat system and the government. Overall if I understand it correctly, this is exactly why there is a leap year where 29th of Feb happens to keep everything in order. Any questions about the timing provided by the GPS system should be directed to governing system owner.

Thank You for the response.

Actually we are facing issue with time synchronisation as our GPS(GT-100) UTC time is one second forward compare to standard UTC time. To make our UTC time synchronized with the standard UTC time we thought of correcting the leap second. Is there any way we can change the leap second?

Note: Previously we have used Ublox LEA6T receiver in one of our project where it has option for Leap second correction.

Thanks @TheReaper , I was confused why 1 second on a boat was being discussed..lol.
It makes sense he is at the wrong support. GPS Chip timing is something we don't get into here.
