mounting SCX20 directly behind radar

I will be moving my scx20 to another vessel. The best possible location so far is to weld my mount onto the base for my radome directly behind my radar radome and have the scx20 atleast 6" higher than the radome. Does this seem satisfactory and any possible radar problems having a mount directly behind the radome?

Can you provide some photos from the boat and a drawing of how you plan to mount it, and where?

aluminum round tubing with rectangular plate welded on top to bolt the scx20. The tubing pole welded to back end of the aluminum radar bracket.

Several inches directly above the radome should be fine.
